Annette Kinslow is a lifelong artist and has worked in a number of media including quilting, spinning, weaving, and designing art clothing before developing her skills as a wire artist.    Her students walk out of class with finished pieces, a lot of knowledge, and  a great attitude.   Kinslow has been teaching beading and wire wrapping for over 10 years and has been teaching dichroic glass

fusing for a year.  Her classes are fun, informative, light-hearted and inspiring.  Annette provides a level of individual attention to students that is rarely seen in artist. She not only teaches the fundamentals and the techniques of wire art, but she also discusses the history of wire, beads and jewelry.  Kinslow encourages each student to find the artist within and the individual power that comes with that.  She has taught men and women equally well.  In her regular classes, she has taught 12 to 85 year olds in the same class, and she often has special classes for youths.

Annette Kinslow is often described by her students as “the best teacher (they’ve) ever had” and she strives to live up to that praise for every student.  She encourages her students to constantly strive for excellence but to banish thoughts of perfection.  Growth comes  with failure.  Creativity demands risks.

Annette has been a finalist in the Fire Mountain Gems and Beads beading and jewelry contest.  Kinslow is a three time winner of first place at the Rikki Mittman "Bead and Tea" event, judged by professional Houston artist.
